The Royal Western Yacht Club unveils the historic Centenary Race on the traditional 1925 Fastnet Course, while making prompt changes to the Round Iceland Race '25 date.

The Centenary Race, an intimate homage to offshore and oceanic racing history, will sail through the authentic Fastnet Racecourse. This course will take the fleet eastwards, and for only the second time, sailors will compete in a clockwise route around the Isle of Wight. Recognizing the centenary anniversary of the Fastnet race, the Club guarantees an extraordinary experience while navigating the same compelling waters as the sailor cohort of 1925. In parallel, the Round Iceland Race 2025, also recognized for its notoriety and challenge, has experienced a date change. To maintain the safety and competitive integrity of the race, it will now take place on Sunday 1st June 2025, rather than 31st August as previously announced. This alteration is due to the ongoing surveillance of harsh conditions around the Northern coast of Iceland. Despite these changes, interest and entries for the 2000-mile offshore yacht race have continued to surge, promising a thrilling competition.
