Emirates GBR SailGP Team breaks new ground in sport by becoming the first team in SailGP to publish an Environmental & Social Impact Report, highlighting their ambitious environmental and social engagements in Season 4.

During the heart of the competitive Season 4, the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team stood tall as the premier team to release an Impact Report—a detailed account of the squad's audacious environmental and social commitments. Not only did the team make waves on the water, but their off-shore endeavors also got them lauded. Under the guidance of CEO, Sir Ben Ainslie, the crew was particularly celebrated for its stellar work in renewable energy generation, climate education, gender equity, and paving a more inclusive path in the marine industry. Their Impact Report for Season 4, running from June 2023 to July 2024, brings into light their inspiring team and partnered efforts to stir positive action and change. The report underscores achievements such as moving the base off-grid at SailGP events via a portable renewable energy installation made with Low Carbon, and drawing in 1,750 youngsters globally with in-person 'Climate Action' lessons. The team's tangible strides towards fast-tracking the development of females and youth in the marine industry were vividly evident through their expansion of the Athena Pathway Programme. As Emirates GBR forges ahead, their third-person point of view continues to echo unwavering commitment towards leading the charge for sustainable change in sport.
