Another year at the Monaco Yacht Show has delivered a dazzling display of premieres, eco-conscious vessels and groundbreaking designs, even as rain dampened Monte-Carlo. The yachting industry's major players, such as Ferretti Group and Heesen, unveiled fresh innovations, and sustainability took center stage in several initiatives.
The Monaco Yacht Show, a cornerstone event in the yachting calendar, unfolded under a slightly wet Monte-Carlo sky this year. Yet the rain couldn't dilute the barrage of press releases touting world premieres, groundbreaking designs, and the introduction of eco-conscious vessels. Ferretti Group captured eyeballs with a formidable line-up, including two global premieres, and shared exciting news about the construction of their largest vessel ever, the Riva 70 Metri. Heesen showed off their 62-meter Project Monte-Carlo featuring hybrid propulsion and shared a buoyant market outlook for custom yachts. Environmental consciousness echoed throughout the show, with the Designers’ Protocol 2024 by Bannenberg & Rowell and the Water Revolution Foundation proposing standards for more sustainable yacht designs. Expectations are also high for the newly formed Yacht Safety and Environmental Consortium by five leading classification societies. Amidst all the buzz, the show was equally a platform for industry insiders to reconnect, learn and look ahead into the future with renewed vigor.
