Deploying South Shields Marine School’s cutting-edge simulator, captains experience an array of emergency scenarios, honing their communication and decision-making abilities. The training program intentionally strains the participants, girding them for real-life crises. Listen to Geoff Moore, Managing Director of West Nautical: ‘It is our goal that participants leave the course, benefiting from honest communication, learning from each other resulting in positive changes, career progression, and mental reassurance.’ Year 2024 witnessed delegates from prominent superyachts being part of the course. Versed with such training, they’re equipped to respond better to emergencies at sea, becoming dependable figures in the vulnerable superyacht industry.
