In a victory for workers' rights, Nautilus International has secured £890,000 in overdue wages for the crew of the previously sanctioned superyacht Alfa Nero, culminating a long, gruelling legal battle.

In a landmark legal decision that underscores workers' rights, Nautilus International has successfully obtained £890,000 in unpaid wages for its crew members who worked on the previously sanctioned superyacht, Alfa Nero. Charles Boyle, Director of Legal Services at Nautilus International, notes that their path to victory has not been without considerable challenge and cooperation. Despite the lengthy, arduous legal dispute rooted in outstanding payments owed to the original crew prior to the yacht's abandonment, the company persevered, buoyed by their unwavering commitment to their members. Captain Christopher Malcolm Lewis, alongside the UK-based union, represented the unionised crew members whose compensation claim was observed. However, notable in this victory is the court's rejection of claims for pay increases and double pay. Despite this, the organization strives further for the rights of their members, evident in their bid to amend the court order for an additional £331,000, securing greater payouts.
